Product Description

This inert 6.5×52R cartridge, headstamped DWM 518, is a fine example of early 20th‑century European ammunition and a desirable item for cartridge collectors. Produced by Deutsche Waffen- und Munitionsfabriken (DWM), one of Germany’s most respected ammunition manufacturers, the “518” code identifies this specific case type within DWM’s historic catalogue of calibre designs.

The 6.5×52R is a rimmed sporting and military‑era calibre, known for use in various European rifles. Though less commonly encountered today, its distinctive profile and historical background make it a valuable addition to collections focused on vintage European ammunition or early smokeless‑powder cartridges.

This example has been professionally rendered completely inert, with no live primer, powder, or hazard of any kind, ensuring safe handling and display. The cartridge retains its authentic brass case and clearly visible DWM 518 headstamp, providing both historical accuracy and excellent visual appeal.

Ideal for ammunition reference boards, specialist calibre collections, or display with other DWM‑manufactured rounds, this inert 6.5×52R cartridge represents both the craftsmanship and industrial heritage of one of Europe’s most prominent ammunition makers.
