Product Description

This 7.62×51mm (.308) plastic blank cartridge case, manufactured by DAG (Dynamit Nobel / Deutsche Angestellten Gesellschaft), is an excellent example of modern training ammunition designed for safe, low-cost military exercises. Produced as a lightweight substitute for standard brass-cased blanks, these polymer cases were widely used for drill, simulation, and blank-firing applications with rifles and machine guns chambered in 7.62 NATO, such as the G3, FN MAG, and L7A2.

The case is fully inert and contains no primer or propellant, making it completely safe for handling, display, or instructional purposes. Despite being a non-firing cartridge, the design accurately reflects functional geometry, allowing it to feed and extract reliably during training sessions when used with the correct blank-firing adapter.

Plastic blank cases like this were introduced to reduce wear on weapons, minimise cost, and improve logistical visibility due to their distinctive colour and lightweight construction. For collectors, they offer an interesting contrast to traditional brass blanks and serve as a useful reference piece for modern ammunition development.

Ideal for ammunition collectors, trainers, reenactors, or those building a comprehensive 7.62 NATO cartridge display, this DAG plastic blank case represents a practical and historically relevant example of contemporary military training ammunition.
