Product Description

The 11.43x50R (43) Egyptian Remington M1870 N.D.FS brass cartridge case is a historical ammunition component notable for its use in the Remington Rolling Block rifles adopted by Egypt in the late 19th century. This cartridge, also known as the .43 Egyptian, features a rimmed, bottlenecked design with a brass case that measures 50mm in length and 11.43mm in diameter.

Manufactured primarily for military use, the 11.43x50R cartridge was designed for the Remington Rolling Block rifles and carbines, which were favored for their robustness and simplicity. The "N.D.FS" marking on the cartridge denotes the manufacturer North Devon Firearm Services.

The brass case of the cartridge is highly durable, and able to withstand the high pressures generated upon firing. This durability, coupled with the powerful black powder charge it originally contained, made the 11.43x50R an effective round for military engagements, providing reliable performance and significant stopping power.

Collectors and historians value the 11.43x50R (43) Egyptian Remington M1870 N.D.FS brass cartridge case for its historical significance and its role in the development of military small arms during a period of significant technological advancement in firearms

Cartridge can be fitted with an INERT Primer
