Product Description
These are original WW2 dated British 1937 Pattern cartridge carrier pouches, part of the standard issue webbing equipment used by British and Commonwealth forces during the Second World War. Introduced with the 1937 Pattern Web Equipment set, these pouches were designed to hold rifle ammunition and were typically worn in pairs on the soldier’s belt.
Constructed from durable cotton webbing, the pouches feature brass fittings and reinforced stitching to withstand field use. They were commonly issued to infantry troops equipped with the Short Magazine Lee-Enfield (SMLE) and later the No.4 rifle, ensuring quick and secure access to ammunition during combat.
This example (or pair, if you’re selling them together) is WW2 dated and remains in good collectible condition, with signs of age and service wear consistent with its history. Please refer to the photographs provided for details of markings, fittings, and overall condition.
A genuine piece of wartime equipment, these cartridge carrier pouches make an excellent addition to any collection of British WW2 militaria, whether displayed as part of a full webbing set or appreciated as a stand-alone item.
