Product Description

This original WW2 British MK III brass compass, manufactured by T.G. Co Ltd and dated 1940, is an excellent example of wartime navigational equipment issued to British Army officers and specialists. Widely used throughout the Second World War, the MK III compass was prized for its accuracy, durability, and reliability in the field.

This example is in excellent working condition, with a clear, responsive needle and smooth operation, reflecting the high quality of wartime British instrument manufacture. The compass is clearly stamped and bears the original serial number 66080, adding to its authenticity and traceability.

Accompanying the compass is its correct 1937 Pattern webbing officer’s compass case, marked MECo 1940 (Mills Equipment Company). The case is constructed from heavy-duty webbing and designed to protect the compass while allowing easy access during operations. Its presence greatly enhances the display and collector value of the set.

Together, the compass and case form a complete and highly desirable ensemble, ideal for collectors of British WW2 equipment, navigational instruments, or officer-issued field gear. An outstanding original piece suitable for display, collection, or historical reference.
