Product Description

This original WW2 British EASCO "Life Jacket" Light, In working order, manufactured by Valban Ltd, is a rare and historically significant piece of wartime survival equipment. Issued to British naval and air force personnel during World War II, this compact signaling light was designed to attach to life jackets and aid in nighttime rescues at sea.

Marked with “EASCO” and “Valban Ltd”, this light is an authentic example of British ingenuity in life-saving gear. It would have activated upon contact with water, emitting a steady glow to help rescuers locate downed airmen or shipwrecked sailors in darkness.

This light remains in good vintage condition, showing expected signs of age, with clear markings and intact construction. While non-functional today, it stands as a powerful reminder of the dangers faced at sea and the practical technologies developed to increase survival rates during WW2.

Ideal for collectors of WW2 military gear, naval memorabilia, or aviation history, this life jacket light is a rare find that brings tangible connection to the personal experiences of wartime service members.
