Product Description

This original WWII British 1912 Pattern Greatcoat is a fine example of wartime issue outerwear, attributed to the Royal Army Ordnance Corps (RAOC). Designed to withstand the harsh European winters, the 1912 Pattern greatcoat was a standard part of British Army cold-weather gear and saw continued service throughout both World Wars.

Crafted from heavy-duty wool in the classic khaki drab tone, this greatcoat is both functional and imposing. It features a double-breasted front with two rows of brass buttons, wide notched lapels, shoulder epaulettes, and a rear belt with buttoned adjustment for shaping. The deep exterior pockets offer practicality, while the length of the coat ensures warmth and protection in cold and damp conditions.

This particular example is a large size, making it ideal for display or wear by reenactors and collectors alike. The coat is in excellent condition, with no visible damage, holes, or moth marks, which is increasingly rare for garments of this age. The Royal Army Ordnance Corps connection adds further historical interest, as the RAOC was vital in the supply and maintenance of munitions, equipment, and vehicles during the war.

Whether you're a serious military collector, reenactor, or vintage enthusiast, this 1912 Pattern Greatcoat offers a striking and authentic piece of British WWII history. Its superb preservation and large size make it a standout item from a defining era of military uniform design.
