Product Description

A First World War Medal Trio typically consists of three British campaign medals awarded to soldiers who served during the First World War. The medals included in the trio are:

  1. The 1914-1915 Star, was awarded to those who served in a theater of war before December 31, 1915.
  2. The British War Medal was awarded to all members of the British armed forces who served during the war.
  3. The Victory Medal was awarded to all those who served in a theater of war.

These medals were often referred to as "Pip, Squeak, and Wilfred," after three characters in a popular cartoon strip at the time. The medals were awarded to soldiers who had served in the British armed forces, including the army, navy, and air force, and were designed to recognize their service and sacrifice during the war.
