Product Description
This selection features original Bank of England 10 Shilling notes signed by J.S. Fforde, catalogued as Dugg B309 in the English banknote series. Issued between 1967 and 1970, these notes are iconic pieces of British pre-decimal currency, bearing the classic Britannia design and red-brown colouring. Each note in this lot is in circulated (used) condition, showing varying degrees of wear, creasing, and edge softening typical of handling and circulation. Despite this, the notes remain clear and legible, with visible serial numbers and features. These 10/- notes were among the last of their kind before decimalisation in 1971, making them ideal for collectors, educators, or history enthusiasts. A great opportunity to own a genuine piece of mid-20th century British monetary history at an affordable price. Perfect for those starting a banknote collection or looking to fill gaps in a Dugg catalogue series
