Product Description

The Trumpeter 1/350 HMS Eskimo Destroyer 1941 is a plastic model kit of a Tribal-class destroyer used by the British Royal Navy during World War II. The kit is highly detailed, with over 300 parts on multiple sprues, photo-etched parts, and decals.

The finished model measures approximately 374mm long and 42mm wide, and includes detailed parts for the ship's superstructure, weapons, and other features. The photo-etched parts add extra detail, such as railings and ladders, and the decals provide markings for HMS Eskimo as she appeared in 1941.

The Tribal-class destroyers were a group of 27 destroyers built for the Royal Navy and Royal Australian Navy between 1936 and 1945. They were named after indigenous peoples from the British Empire and were designed for use as fleet destroyers, anti-submarine warfare, and anti-aircraft defense.

HMS Eskimo was launched in 1936 and served in various roles during World War II, including escorting convoys, bombarding enemy positions, and engaging in surface and air attacks. She was heavily damaged by German aircraft in 1942 and subsequently scuttled to prevent capture. The Trumpeter model kit allows model builders to recreate this important historical vessel in miniature form.

Overall, the Trumpeter 1/350 HMS Eskimo Destroyer 1941 model kit is a highly detailed and accurate representation of an important historical ship. It is recommended for experienced model builders due to the level of detail involved in assembly, but the finished model is a rewarding and impressive display piece.
