Product Description

The RWS 8x68 INERT Cartridge is a non-functional, collectible replica of the 8x68mm Mauser, a powerful and historically significant rifle round. Manufactured by RWS (Rheinisch-Westfälische Sprengstoff), this inert round is designed for display, training, and firearm function testing, making it a valuable addition for collectors and enthusiasts of vintage European ammunition.

The 8x68mm Mauser was first introduced in the 1930s, designed primarily for big-game hunting and long-range shooting. Known for its high velocity, flat trajectory, and impressive stopping power, the 8x68mm was favored for hunting large, dangerous game such as deer, boar, and even African safari animals. This round's ballistic performance and reliability made it popular with hunters in both Europe and beyond.

The inert version of the 8x68mm cartridge features an authentic brass casing and a seated projectile, but it contains no gunpowder and has a deactivated primer, ensuring safe handling. Some variations may have drilled holes or color-coded primers to clearly indicate its inert status.

Ideal for collectors, museums, historical displays, and firearm enthusiasts, the RWS 8x68 INERT Cartridge is an essential piece for anyone interested in the history of European ammunition.
