Product Description
This is an inert RP (Remington Peters) .30-06 Springfield round fitted with a rare accelerator projectile, professionally deactivated for safe collection and display. The accelerator is a unique design that allows a smaller .22 calibre bullet to be fired from a .30-06 case using a sabot, increasing velocity dramatically while maintaining use of a standard rifle. Originally intended for varmint hunting and specialised applications, these rounds are now uncommon and sought after due to their innovative design and limited production. This example retains its original brass case with RP headstamp and visible accelerator sabot projectile. It has been rendered fully inert, with the propellant removed and an inert primer installed, making it 100% legal to own in the UK. A must-have for advanced ammunition collectors or anyone interested in ballistic experimentation from the Cold War era. Unusual, educational, and a true standout in any ammunition display. Only one available.
