Product Description

The Graphic Souvenir of the German Navy’s Surrender is an original period publication commemorating the momentous surrender of the Imperial German Fleet at the end of the First World War. Produced in 1918–1919, this rare pictorial edition captures the events surrounding the handover of the German Navy to the Allies at Scapa Flow. Inside are detailed illustrations, photographs, and reports documenting the arrival of German warships, the Allied escort fleets, and the formal surrender ceremonies. The souvenir reflects the pride and relief of victory while preserving a unique visual record of one of naval history’s most dramatic moments. This genuine example shows typical signs of age — minor edge wear, light foxing, and small handling marks — yet remains in good collectible condition with all pages intact. An excellent reference piece for historians, naval enthusiasts, or collectors of WWI memorabilia. Presented exactly as shown, this publication offers an authentic insight into early 20th-century journalism and post-war sentiment. A striking reminder of the end of Germany’s naval power and a must-have addition to any serious military history collection.
