Product Description

This is an original inert 20mm brass cartridge case dated 1943, bearing the K headstamp, indicating manufacture by Kynoch Ltd., one of Britain’s principal ammunition manufacturers during the Second World War. Kynoch supplied a wide range of military cartridges and ordnance components for both aircraft and ground-based weapons, including large-calibre rounds like the 20mm used in anti-aircraft guns and aircraft cannons.

The 20mm calibre was widely employed in British and Allied forces’ aircraft armaments, light anti-aircraft systems, and armoured vehicles. While complete rounds could contain high-explosive or practice projectiles, this example is a brass cartridge case only, fully inerted for safe display, educational use, or collecting.

The K headstamp and wartime date make this cartridge case an authentic piece of British WWII production history. Its original brass finish and crisp markings are highly sought after by collectors of aircraft ordnance, anti-aircraft ammunition, and WWII militaria.

This cartridge case is ideal for display in militaria collections, ordnance exhibits, or ammunition reference collections, and it represents both the calibre used in combat and the industrial effort behind Britain’s wartime munitions.
