Product Description
An original inert German 9×19mm Parabellum cartridge bearing the kam St 6 1944 headstamp. This is a genuine late Second World War military cartridge manufactured for the Wehrmacht during 1944, the final full year of German wartime ammunition production.
The kam manufacturer code identifies HASAG (Hugo Schneider AG), Eisen- und Metallwerke GmbH., Werk Skarżysko-Kamienna, located in occupied Poland. Originally established as the Polish State Ammunition Factory (Państwowa Wytwórnia Uzbrojenia), the plant was seized following the German invasion of Poland in 1939 and became one of the Third Reich's largest producers of military ammunition. Millions of 9×19mm Parabellum and 7.92×57mm Mauser cartridges were manufactured there for the Wehrmacht between 1940 and 1944.
The Skarżysko-Kamienna works are also historically significant because they relied heavily on forced labour. Thousands of prisoners were compelled to manufacture ammunition under brutal conditions, making kam headstamps an important part of the history of German wartime industry.
