An original inert German 9×19mm Parabellum cartridge bearing the kam manufacturer's code and dated 1943. This is a genuine Second World War military cartridge produced for the German armed forces.
The kam code identifies the HASAG (Hugo Schneider AG) ammunition factory at Skarżysko-Kamienna, in occupied Poland. Before the war this was the Polish State Ammunition Factory (Państwowa Wytwórnia Uzbrojenia), but following the German occupation it was taken over by HASAG and produced large quantities of small arms ammunition for the Wehrmacht between 1939 and 1944.
This 1943-dated example represents wartime production during the height of German ammunition manufacture and would have been suitable for use in the P08 Luger, Walther P38, MP38, MP40, and other German 9mm weapons chambered for the 9×19mm Parabellum cartridge.
An excellent addition to any collection of German WWII ammunition, Axis militaria, or military headstamps.
