Product Description
An original inert German 9×19mm Parabellum cartridge bearing the am St 26 1943 headstamp. This is a genuine Second World War military cartridge produced for the Wehrmacht during 1943, one of the busiest years of German wartime ammunition production.
The am manufacturer code identifies Gustloff-Werke, Otto Eberhardt Patronenfabrik, located at Hirtenberg, Lower Austria (Niederdonau). Following the Anschluss of Austria in 1938, the former Hirtenberger Patronen-, Zündhütchen- und Metallwarenfabrik A.G. was incorporated into the German war economy under the Gustloff-Werke organisation. The factory became one of Germany's major producers of 9×19mm Parabellum ammunition for the Wehrmacht throughout the war.
