Product Description

This original inert Eley .45 Maxim Revolver round is a striking collectible for enthusiasts of historic British ammunition and late-19th to early-20th century small arms. Bearing the Eley maker’s identity, this cartridge reflects the quality and reputation of one of Britain’s foremost ammunition manufacturers, making it a desirable piece for collectors of sporting and service cartridges alike.

The round has been professionally rendered inert to recognised safety standards: the primer is inactive and there is no propellant or other live components present. It retains its original brass case and projectile, with visible maker marks and period-appropriate patina that confirm its authenticity and age. As an example of a .45 calibre round associated with Maxim-era armaments and revolver use, it offers collectors a tangible connection to the development of small arms ammunition during a formative era of British firearms history.

Ideal for cabinet displays, museum exhibits, photographic reference, or educational use, this inert Eley round adds historical depth to any collection focused on Victorian–Edwardian military and civilian ammunition. It pairs well with period revolvers, Maxim-related displays, or themed collections that explore the evolution of British cartridge manufacturing.
