Product Description
An original British WWII 20mm Hispano fired brass cartridge case bearing the BBC 1942 25 headstamp. This is a genuine Second World War aircraft cannon case manufactured during 1942, one of the most significant years of the war.
The headstamp identifies the manufacturer as British Belting & Asbestos Co. Ltd. (BBC), one of Britain's wartime contractors responsible for producing cartridge cases and ammunition components for the Ministry of Supply. During the Second World War, BBC supplied large quantities of ammunition cases to support Britain's rapidly expanding military production.

This fired case was originally used with the famous 20mm Hispano cannon, one of the Allies' most successful aircraft weapons. The Hispano Mk II equipped many iconic RAF fighters throughout the war, including:

- Hawker Tempest
- Bristol Beaufighter
- De Havilland Mosquito
The 20mm Hispano cannon became the RAF's principal aircraft cannon and remained in service well into the post-war period due to its reliability and effectiveness.
