Product Description

An original British Army Black Watch stable belt featuring a brass regimental buckle plate bearing the famous insignia of the Black Watch (Royal Highland Regiment).

The buckle displays the iconic figure of Saint Andrew with the saltire cross, surrounded by a laurel wreath and the regiment’s historic motto:

“Nemo Me Impune Lacessit”

(“No one provokes me with impunity”).

The Black Watch is one of the most famous and historic Scottish infantry regiments in British military history, with service dating back to the early 18th century. The regiment earned an exceptional reputation through service in conflicts ranging from the Napoleonic Wars to both World Wars and later Cold War deployments.

Stable belts formed an important part of British Army barracks and ceremonial dress, worn by soldiers both on and off duty. Original regimental examples remain highly collectible, particularly those associated with famous Scottish regiments such as the Black Watch.

This example retains excellent original condition with attractive brass buckle plate, original woven belt construction, and strong military display appeal. A superb item for collectors of Scottish militaria, British Army uniforms, or regimental equipment.

An excellent display piece with strong historic character.
