Product Description

An original 1944 dated Norwegian 6.5×55mm Mauser inert cartridge featuring the RA headstamp, identifying production by Raufoss Ammunisjonsfabrikker, Norway’s principal military ammunition manufacturer.

The 6.5×55mm cartridge became one of Scandinavia’s most respected military calibres, used extensively by both Swedish and Norwegian armed forces in Mauser-pattern service rifles. Known for its accuracy, reliability, and excellent ballistic performance, the calibre remained in military use for decades and continues to be highly regarded by collectors and shooting enthusiasts alike.

This wartime example was manufactured in 1944, during the Second World War period, and retains its original military appearance with authentic age-related patina and clear headstamp markings. Norwegian Raufoss ammunition is increasingly sought after due to its quality production standards and historical significance within Scandinavian military history.

An excellent addition for collectors of Mauser rifles, Scandinavian militaria, or WW2 military ammunition, this round also makes an attractive standalone display piece.

The cartridge shows honest period wear consistent with age and storage and remains a genuine collectible item from the wartime era.

This cartridge has been rendered completely inert and is safe for display purposes only.
