Product Description
This collection of vintage Egyptian banknotes offers a fascinating glimpse into the rich history and culture of Egypt through its currency. Featuring mixed denominations—typically ranging from 5 Piastres up to 50 or 100 Pounds—these notes span multiple decades of 20th-century Egyptian history. Issued by the Central Bank of Egypt, the notes showcase a blend of ancient Egyptian motifs (like pharaohs, temples, and hieroglyphs) alongside Islamic architecture such as mosques and domes, reflecting the country's diverse heritage. Each note in the collection is offered in circulated condition, with varying signs of use including folds, light staining, or edge wear, but all remain fully legible and intact. This collection is ideal for collectors of world currency, educators, or anyone with an interest in Middle Eastern history and design. A beautiful and affordable way to own a tangible piece of Egypt’s modern economic and artistic legacy..
