Product Description
The INERT REM-UMC .260 HR round is a fascinating collectible piece of historical ammunition, crafted by the renowned Union Metallic Cartridge Company (U.M.C.). Known for their commitment to quality, U.M.C. was one of the leading American manufacturers of ammunition in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The .260 HR round represents a specialized cartridge designed for use in hunting and sporting applications, showcasing the company's innovative designs in rifle ammunition.
The .260 HR, a less common caliber, was used primarily for medium-sized game hunting, offering a balanced combination of power and accuracy. Its use was popular among hunters for its ability to deliver consistent performance while maintaining manageable recoil. This particular round, marked with the “REM-UMC” headstamp, ensures its authenticity and demonstrates the high manufacturing standards of the time.
This INERT round is fully deactivated, containing no live primer, powder, or propellant, making it safe to handle, display, and study. The brass casing remains in excellent condition, with clear markings that highlight its historical significance.
Perfect for collectors, firearm historians, or enthusiasts of early American ammunition, the INERT REM-UMC .260 HR round is an exceptional addition to any collection. Its unique caliber and historical context make it a valuable piece of ammunition history.
