The INERT French 8mm Lebel "LM" Le Mans 1940 Cartridge is a non-functional, collectible replica of the 8mm Lebel cartridge used in the French military during World War I and II. Manufactured in 1940 at the Le Mans factory, this inert round is a significant piece of military history, representing the French Army’s standard infantry cartridge of the early 20th century. Introduced in 1886, the 8mm Lebel was the first smokeless powder cartridge used in a bolt-action rifle, the Lebel Model 1886, and was a revolutionary step forward in military firearms technology.
