Product Description
Original WW1 German inert 7.92×57mm Mauser cartridge with S67 18 7 P headstamp, manufactured by Polte Armaturen- und Maschinenfabrik, Magdeburg.
Dated July 1918, this round represents late-war production, using the S67 brass alloy (67% copper / 33% zinc) introduced during the First World War to conserve copper.
The clearly defined segmented headstamp shows:
- Case material (S67)
- Year (1918)
- Month (July)
- Manufacturer (Polte)
Polte was one of Germany’s primary ammunition producers, making this a strong and well-documented example of Imperial German military production.
This cartridge would have been issued for use in the Gewehr 98 rifle and MG08 machine gun, forming part of the standard German infantry ammunition supply.
✔ Dated July 1918 (WW1)
✔ Polte manufacture (P code)
✔ S67 wartime brass alloy
✔ Complete segmented headstamp
✔ Fully inert – no live components
A highly collectible WW1 German cartridge with full readable production details.
