Product Description
Original inert 6.5×58R Portuguese Vergueiro cartridge manufactured by Deutsche Waffen und Munitionsfabriken (DWM) Germany.
This example carries the desirable DWM K 379 E headstamp, identifying it as a commercial/export loading for the Portuguese 6.5mm Vergueiro service rifle adopted in 1904.
DWM catalogue-numbered cartridges are highly collectible amongst ammunition collectors, with “379” specifically corresponding to the 6.5×58R Portuguese cartridge.
The round features an attractive blue-tipped projectile and classic early 20th century military styling, making it an excellent display and reference piece for collectors of Mauser, Portuguese military, and pre-WW1 ammunition.
A scarce and historically important European military cartridge.
