Product Description
Original inert 6.5×53R Mannlicher cartridge manufactured by DWM (Deutsche Waffen- und Munitionsfabriken), one of Imperial Germany’s most prestigious ammunition manufacturers. The DWM “K477” designation identifies this cartridge as part of DWM’s famous export and military cartridge catalogue system used during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
The 6.5×53R Mannlicher cartridge was widely used by Dutch and Romanian military forces and became well known for its accuracy, reliability, and smooth feeding in Mannlicher rifles. DWM produced large quantities for military contracts and export sales throughout Europe and overseas markets.
This example features a nickel-coloured round nose projectile, strong DWM K477 headstamp markings, and an attractive aged brass finish with excellent overall display appeal. A highly collectible inert cartridge ideal for Mannlicher, DWM, and early military ammunition collections.
