Product Description
Original inert .485 British trial cartridge with RG 1977 headstamp, manufactured at the famous Royal Ordnance Factory Radway Green (RG), United Kingdom.
Dated 1977, this cartridge represents British military experimental and development work during the Cold War era. Trial rounds such as this were produced in limited quantities for testing, evaluation, and weapons development programmes, making them significantly more interesting to collectors than standard service ammunition.
The unusual .485 British calibre is associated with specialist British trial and experimental ammunition projects undertaken during the later 20th century.
Manufactured by Radway Green, Britain’s principal military ammunition factory, this example makes an excellent addition to any experimental ammunition collection, British military display, or trial cartridge reference set.
✔ Radway Green manufacture (RG headstamp)
✔ Dated 1977
✔ British experimental / trial cartridge
✔ Cold War military development round
✔ Fully inert – no live components
A scarce and highly collectible British trial cartridge with strong specialist collector appeal.
