Product Description

An original .455 Webley inert cartridge featuring the classic K II C headstamp, representing genuine British military revolver ammunition production from the early 20th century.

The .455 Webley cartridge became one of Britain’s most famous service revolver calibres and was widely used in iconic handguns such as the Webley Mk VI revolver throughout the First World War and into the interwar period. Known for its large calibre and distinctive appearance, the .455 remains highly sought after among collectors of British military firearms and ammunition.

The K marking identifies production by the renowned British ammunition manufacturer Kynoch, while the II designation refers to the loading or cartridge mark. The additional C marking is associated with cordite loading, a standard British propellant system used extensively during the era.

This example retains authentic period appearance with attractive age-related patina and strong display appeal, making it an excellent collectible for enthusiasts of British revolvers, WW1 militaria, or vintage handgun ammunition.

Original .455 Webley cartridges are increasingly difficult to source, particularly with clear early military headstamps such as this example.
