This original inert .303 British Mk VII ball round, dated 1938 and headstamped “KF”, was manufactured by Kirkee Arsenal (Indian Government Ammunition Factory, Poona / Kirkee) — one of the key ammunition factories in British India. The “KF 38” headstamp clearly identifies its production year and the Kirkee facility, which produced .303 cartridges for the British and Commonwealth forces for decades.The .303 British cartridge was widely used in service rifles and machine guns, including the Lee–Enfield No. 4, Bren, and Vickers.
