Product Description

Original inert .303 British Mk VII cartridge manufactured in 1916 by Rudge-Whitworth Ltd., Coventry, England during the First World War.

The R 16 W headstamp identifies wartime production by Rudge-Whitworth, a major British engineering company that contributed to military ammunition manufacture during WW1. The cartridge is loaded to the standard Mk VII specification used in the SMLE Lee-Enfield rifle and British machine guns including the Vickers and Lewis gun.

1916 dated examples were produced during the height of British wartime ammunition demand and have strong collector appeal among WW1 and Lee-Enfield enthusiasts.

A genuine Great War era inert cartridge ideal for British militaria and ammunition collections.
