Product Description
Original inert .303 British Mk VII cartridge with B 12 headstamp, manufactured in 1912 during the pre-First World War period for British military service.
The B factory code is associated with Birmingham Metals & Munitions Co. Ltd., one of the British firms involved in early .303 cartridge manufacture prior to and during the Great War. The 12 date makes this an attractive pre-WW1 example produced before the outbreak of war in 1914.
The Mk VII loading became the standard British .303 service cartridge for the SMLE Lee-Enfield rifle and British machine guns including the Vickers. Early dated Mk VII rounds such as 1912 examples are increasingly desirable due to their Edwardian military history and lower survival rates compared with later wartime production.
A genuine inert pre-Great War cartridge ideal for Lee-Enfield, Boer War transition era and British militaria collections.
