Product Description
Original inert .303 British Mk VI cartridge with KN 16 headstamp, manufactured in 1916 by King’s Norton Metal Co. Ltd., Birmingham, England during the First World War.
The KN factory code identifies production by King’s Norton, one of Britain’s largest wartime ammunition and cartridge case manufacturers. The 16 date places this cartridge in the middle of WW1 during the period of massive British ammunition production expansion.
The Mk VI designation identifies the earlier round-nosed .303 British service cartridge, largely replaced by the pointed Mk VII loading before WW1 but still encountered in wartime inventories, training stocks and reserve supplies.
WW1 dated Mk VI rounds are increasingly sought after because they combine an older Victorian/Edwardian cartridge pattern with wartime production history.
A genuine inert Great War era cartridge ideal for Lee-Enfield, British military ammunition and WW1 militaria collections.
