Product Description
An original French Army winter fur-lined cap manufactured by Biederman Uniforms, dating to approximately the 1950s Cold War era and retaining classic post-war French military styling.
Designed for cold-weather military service, this cap features a traditional insulated construction with warm fur lining, providing protection during winter field use and garrison duty. French military winter uniforms and cold-weather equipment from the immediate post-war period are increasingly sought after by collectors due to their distinctive appearance and strong connection to the rebuilding of European armed forces following the Second World War.
The cap is marked Size 59, a desirable and wearable collector size, and was produced by Biederman Uniforms, a recognised military clothing manufacturer associated with post-war military contract production.
French military headgear from the 1950s is becoming increasingly difficult to source in original condition, particularly examples retaining strong period character and authentic military construction details. The fur-lined design gives the cap excellent display appeal and makes it ideal for collectors of French militaria, Cold War uniforms, or post-war military clothing.
An excellent addition to any military headgear collection, mannequin display, or Cold War militaria grouping.
