Product Description
Early airline life jacket associated with Flying Tiger Line, closely resembling the wartime USAAF WWII pattern inflatable life vests. Constructed in the familiar military style, it features durable fabric panels and inflation tubes similar to those used by U.S. aircrew during the Second World War. This particular example was used by the Flying Tiger airline during the early post-war period, reflecting the transition of military aviation equipment and design into civilian and cargo operations. Flying Tiger Line, originally formed by former members of the legendary American Volunteer Group, maintained strong links to military aviation heritage. A scarce and highly displayable piece of early commercial aviation history with clear military influence.
