Product Description
Original vintage Dominion .43 Mauser cartridge, also known as the 11.15×60R Mauser, with the distinctive DOMINION 43 M headstamp.
The .43 Mauser was developed for the German Mauser Model 1871 service rifle and was subsequently associated with the Model 71/84. It is one of the classic large-bore, rimmed military rifle cartridges of the late 19th century.
This example was manufactured under the Dominion name in Canada. Dominion continued to manufacture .43 Mauser ammunition long after the cartridge had disappeared from front-line military service, supplying shooters using surviving Mauser rifles.
The cartridge has the characteristic large rimmed, bottlenecked brass case together with a round-nosed lead projectile. The clearly marked DOMINION 43 M headstamp makes it an interesting variation for collectors of Mauser ammunition, Canadian ammunition and obsolete military cartridges.
The brass displays normal age-related marks and patination while retaining an attractive original appearance. Please study the photographs for exact condition.
Collector/display item only. Inert cartridge – not for firing.
