Product Description
This Cold War inert ammunition selection brings together four iconic cartridges that defined global military service during the latter half of the 20th century. Each round is 100% inert—containing no primer or propellant—making them completely safe for handling, training, and display.
The set includes:
-
1 x 7.62x39mm round – the legendary Soviet cartridge developed for the AK-47 and its variants, used across the Warsaw Pact and beyond.
-
1 x 5.56mm NATO round – adopted by Western forces, most famously chambered in the M16 rifle and still in widespread service today.
-
1 x .308 (7.62x51mm NATO) round – a versatile NATO standard cartridge, chambered in rifles such as the FN FAL, G3, and M14.
-
1 x 5.45x39mm round – introduced in the 1970s by the Soviet Union as the successor to the 7.62x39, first fielded in the AK-74.
Together, these inert cartridges provide a fascinating snapshot of the Cold War arms race, showcasing the ammunition that armed opposing blocs through decades of tension, proxy conflicts, and front-line service. Each round is carefully prepared for safety while retaining its authentic military profile, making this set ideal for collectors, educators, or enthusiasts interested in Cold War history.
Securely packaged for UK delivery, this four-round inert set is perfect for display in a collection, as a training aid, or simply as a tangible piece of 20th-century military heritage.
