Product Description

The Parr Manufacturing Company was a company that produced a variety of lighters, including brass lighters, during the early 20th century. The company was based in Freeport, Illinois, and is known for producing lighters that were used by the US military during both World War I and World War II.

A brass lighter produced by the Parr Manufacturing Company that was used during World War I is considered a highly collectible item. The fact that it is marked "UL" likely indicates that it was approved for use by the Underwriters Laboratories, a safety consulting and certification company that was founded in 1894.

The value of a vintage brass lighter from the Parr Manufacturing Company can vary widely depending on factors such as its condition, rarity, and historical significance. Brass lighters that were used by the military during World War I can be particularly sought after by collectors of military memorabilia or antique lighters.

It's worth noting that the sale of lighters, particularly those that contain fuel or other flammable materials, can be subject to restrictions or regulations in some jurisdictions.
