Product Description
This set of five inert WWII .303 British rounds comes complete with an original steel charger, all dated 1944 and manufactured by Greenwood & Batley (GB)—one of Britain’s most important wartime ammunition producers. Designed for use with the iconic Lee-Enfield rifle, these cartridges and charger represent a classic frontline configuration used by British and Commonwealth forces throughout the Second World War.
Each cartridge features the clear “GB 44” headstamp, reflecting late-war production during a period of intense ammunition demand. The rounds have been professionally rendered inert, containing no live primer or propellant, yet they retain their original wartime appearance, including bullet profile, case finish, and factory stamping. The included charger is an essential accessory for rapid loading of the Lee-Enfield’s 10-round magazine, making this set ideal for accurate historic displays.
Items like this are increasingly sought-after by collectors due to the diminishing availability of complete wartime-dated charger sets. Whether for a WWII weapons display, a Lee-Enfield collection, or a museum-style showcase, this grouping offers an authentic and visually appealing snapshot of British small-arms ammunition as issued during 1944.
A high-quality and historically significant addition to any WWII collection.
