Product Description
An impressive and scarce set of 30 original French 8×50mmR Lebel cartridges dated 1948, correctly fitted to an authentic 30-round Hotchkiss magazine strip. This superb display piece combines genuine post-war French ammunition with one of the most iconic feed systems ever used in military history, associated with the renowned Hotchkiss M1914 machine gun.
Each cartridge is an authentic 1948 production round, offering excellent collector interest as later manufacture of the historic Lebel calibre. The 8×50mmR Lebel cartridge was famously introduced in the late 19th century and remained in military service for decades due to its proven reliability and continued use in reserve stocks and colonial service.
All rounds in this set have been professionally rendered inert and are oil injected, helping preserve the internals while ensuring they remain safe collectible display items. The original Hotchkiss strip presents beautifully and gives the complete set outstanding visual impact, ideal for display cabinets, museums, reenactment collections, or specialist ammunition displays.
