Product Description
The 1 Ruble banknote was issued in 1991 by the State Bank of the USSR (Gosbank) as part of the final series of Soviet currency before the dissolution of the USSR in December 1991. The obverse (front) features the state emblem of the USSR, ornate decorative borders, and the denomination in Cyrillic and Latin numerals. The reverse (back) depicts allegorical imagery of Soviet agriculture and industry, reflecting the traditional Soviet emphasis on collective labor and economic development. Printed on cotton paper and measuring approximately 150 × 69 mm, this banknote circulated briefly due to the political and economic changes during the collapse of the Soviet Union. Today, it is a collectible piece of late Soviet-era currency.
