Product Description
Â
This is a genuine military surplus Basket Belt Carrier Drum, designed to hold a fifty-round 7.92Ă—57mm Mauser caliber ammunition belt for use with the MG 34, MG 42, and Yugo M53 machine guns. Each drum comes complete with 50 inert rounds, making it perfect for display, reenactment, or historical collections.
Offered in very good to excellent condition, these original carrier drums were sourced directly from European military storage depots. Once widely available, these have now become extremely rare, and we are fortunate to have acquired what may be the last known stocks in the world. Most appear to be unissued or lightly used, preserving their historical authenticity.
The drums are painted in postwar Apple Green, though markings may vary—some may be unmarked, while others feature postwar markings. Their sturdy sheet steel construction ensures durability, but as with all surplus items, minor variations should be expected.
Fitment Note: If a drum does not fit your firearm and no visible defects are present, the issue is likely with the feed tray of the gun rather than the drum itself. These trays are made from sheet steel, which can often become bent or misaligned over time. Even in our own display setups, we have found it necessary to adjust feed trays to ensure proper fitment.
This is a unique opportunity to own a piece of military history—once they’re gone, they’re gone!
