This is an outstanding example of the British Army Olive Airtex Jungle Shirt, dated 1966 and manufactured by G.K. & Co. Ltd. Issued during the post-war and early Cold War period, this tropical combat shirt was designed for use in hot, humid environments such as Malaysia, Borneo, and Aden.
Made from breathable Airtex cellular cotton, this shirt allowed for ventilation and comfort during jungle operations. The olive green color provided natural camouflage, while its lightweight, quick-drying fabric made it a favorite among British troops.
This shirt is in excellent vintage condition, showing minimal wear, and comes in a large 17.5" neck size—a rare find for collectors and reenactors. It features classic military details, including chest pockets with concealed buttons and reinforced stitching throughout.
