Product Description
This original WWII German 7.92×57mm Mauser cartridge is headstamped P240 • 1939 • 8 S, indicating manufacture by the Polte Armaturen- und Maschinenfabrik A.G., Werk Magdeburg (code P240). Produced in 1939, this round is an early-war example of the standard German infantry rifle ammunition used in the Kar98k and MG34. The “8 S” marking signifies an S-type bullet, the common spitzer design adopted for improved range and performance. With its clear wartime markings and excellent historical relevance, this cartridge is a desirable collectible for those interested in German ordnance, early-war production, and Mauser rifle history.
