General Service whistles were issued throughout the British Armed Forces during the Second World War and were carried by officers, NCOs, military police and instructors for signalling, controlling troop movements, training exercises and emergency communications.

Manufactured from nickel-plated brass, this example displays attractive service wear and remains an excellent piece of original wartime equipment. Dated examples are particularly desirable to collectors of British Army, Home Front and WWII militaria.

A fine addition to any collection of British Army equipment, WWII field gear or military signalling equipment.

Condition: Original used condition with clear wartime markings and age-related wear consistent with service use.
