Product Description

This is an original inert 8×57 JRS rifle cartridge manufactured by the renowned German ammunition company RWS GmbH. The RWS brand originates from Rheinisch-Westfälische Sprengstoff-Actien-Gesellschaft, a major European ammunition manufacturer founded in 1886 and known worldwide for producing high-quality sporting and military cartridges.

The 8×57 cartridge family, often associated with the famous 7.92×57mm Mauser military round, became one of the most widely used rifle calibres in Europe during the 20th century. The 8×57 JRS variant is a rimmed sporting version designed for use in break-action hunting rifles and combination guns such as drillings and double rifles. These cartridges were particularly popular among European hunters for medium and large game.

RWS cartridges have long been respected for their reliability, precision, and excellent manufacturing quality, making them a preferred choice among hunters and marksmen for generations.

This example has been fully rendered inert, with no live primer or propellant, making it safe for display, educational purposes, or cartridge collecting. The clear RWS headstamp and classic brass case make it a desirable addition to European sporting ammunition collections, German hunting displays, or general cartridge collections.
