The dnh manufacturer code identifies Rheinisch-Westfälische Sprengstoff A.G. (RWS), Werk Durlach, formerly operated by Gustav Genschow & Co. (GECO). This was one of Germany's principal wartime ammunition manufacturers, producing millions of cartridges for the Wehrmacht throughout the war.
