An original British Army M-73 Prismatic Marching Compass, dated August 1976 and manufactured in the United Kingdom. This robust military compass was designed for accurate navigation and map reading in all environments and formed part of the standard field equipment used by British Army personnel during the Cold War period.
Constructed with a durable black-finished metal body, the compass features a rotating degree bezel, sighting wire, prism sight and luminous directional markers, enabling precise bearing taking both day and night. The M-73 pattern is renowned for its rugged construction and reliability, making it a favourite amongst military collectors, outdoor enthusiasts and bushcraft users.
