Product Description

The Original Large First Aid Dressing U.S. Army Carlisle Model by Guild Foundations New York. is a classic piece of military medical equipment that was issued to U.S. Army personnel during the 20th century, especially in World War II. Known for its reliability and versatility, this large wound dressing was an essential item in the field, used for treating a variety of injuries ranging from minor cuts to more serious battlefield wounds.

The Dressing, First Aid, Individual Troop, Camouflaged, Small was a compact, battlefield medical dressing issued to U.S. military personnel. Manufactured by Guild Products Corporation, Newark, NJ, USA, it was designed for individual use to treat wounds in combat situations. The dressing featured a sterile, absorbent pad attached to a gauze bandage, allowing soldiers to quickly dress injuries and control bleeding. Its camouflaged packaging minimized visibility, reducing the risk of detection by enemy forces.

Lightweight and easy to carry, the dressing fit into standard first aid pouches, making it a critical component of military field kits. The "small" size made it ideal for minor wounds, while its durable wrapping ensured sterility in harsh conditions. These dressings were commonly used in World War II, the Korean War, and later conflicts, playing a vital role in battlefield survival.

Guild Products Corporation was one of several manufacturers contracted to produce medical supplies for the U.S. military. Their Newark, NJ, facility contributed to war efforts by providing essential first-aid items for troops in the field. This dressing remains a collectible military surplus item, valued for its historical significance in combat medicine.
