Shell Dressings: Shell dressings were larger dressings used for more severe wounds, particularly those caused by artillery shells or high-velocity projectiles. They were designed to cover and protect against extensive injuries until further medical attention could be provided.

Post-War British Joint Service Dressings: After World War II, joint service dressings were introduced to replace individual service-specific dressings. These dressings were standardized across the British armed forces and were used for various types of wounds and injuries.
